ABU DHABI SCIENCE FESTIVAL
C3i manage the unload and distribution of all the exhibits and equipment, managing and utilising a local crew of up to 40 pax.
The Abu Dhabi Science Festival is a globally awarded strategic initiative organized by the Abu Dhabi Education Council. Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, the festival supports the development of human capital in the science and technology sectors in line with Abu Dhabi 2030 Vision and the UAE Innovation Strategy. Providing a multi-level education event for the school children and families across the UAE, it aims to spark the imagination of the nation’s youth in science and technology, encouraging them to pursue these subjects throughout their education and career. The event has attracted more than 600,000 visitors since its inception and is now in its 6th edition.
C3i are responsible for the physical loading and packing of all freight containers in accordance with the manifest. The entire event is shipped out to Abu Dhabi from the organiser’s (Edinburgh Science Festival Ltd) HQ in Edinburgh. Once in Abu Dhabi, C3i then manage the unload and distribution of all the exhibits and equipment, managing and utilising a local crew of up to 40 pax.
The C3i crew then become part of the build team as well as managing the installation of the Theatres whilst liaising with the local AV/Production company.
During the live event, Jason becomes the Theatre manager and producer with up to 20 shows a day for up to 4,000 children. At the end of the event, C3i de-rig, re-pack and return the shipment to the UK, meeting the containers in Edinburgh for the unload back to EISF HQ.
